Description
✨Overglaze Decor Gold Luster!✨
Available as 12% and 10% gold. The firing temperature is 800-850 °C.
How to Use Gold Luster
- Make sure to use gloves before starting the application. Fingerprints negatively affect your product result.
- Gold luster overglaze decor is applied homogeneously to the surface in the form of a thin layer.
- We recommend that you apply one or two coats after filling your brush with luster. If applying two coats, avoid refilling the brush for the second coat.
- We recommend using brushes made up of natural bristles(or synthetic with soft bristles). These brushes are the ones that leave the least brush marks in the luster application.
- We recommend that you ventilate the application area and use a mask during the application.
Firing Schedule:
- 0 - 400° C (1 hour) (The kiln door should remain slightly open (3–4mm) to allow air circulation with minimal heat loss.)
- The kiln door should be completely closed and left for 400° - 800° (1 hour) or 400° - 850° (1 hour) and maximum temperature (800° or 850°) for 10-15 minutes.
- Then you can open the kiln after it has cooled down. We recommend opening the kiln after letting it cool overnight.
Notes:
- Before application, the surface should be cleaned and dried with water, not with cellulosic thinner. The surface can be placed near the oven to dry. Wiping should not be done too much when drying, dust may settle again due to static electricity.
- If you want to thin out, you can apply a thinner by a maximum of 25%.
- If it is to be used with other lusters, firing for gold should be done first.
- Keep the product in a cool, light-free environment.
- We recommend that you experiment with small quantities before production.
