It is sold in ground powder form.
It is the frit most used by ceramic manufacturers in America. It has been used as a general purpose melter at all temperatures for many years.
It is produced as a source of calcium and boron. It is widely used in low grade glazes due to its low Alumina and high Calcium content.
It is used to obtain chrome-tin pink glazes at low temperatures.
